The long road to success in Rhode v. Bonta may still have a ways to go, but our latest filing is aimed at moving things forward. Building on the significant victory we secured just a few weeks ago, Michel & Associates, P.C. has filed a brief opposing the state’s attempt to delay justice through an en banc review.

Able’s Ammo, AMDEB Holdings, Ammunition Depot, R&S Firearms, and Sam’s Shooters Emporium have joined the case alongside lead plaintiff, Olympic champion Kim Rhode.

The State’s restrictions—which effectively operate as an ammunition ban—are unconstitutional on their face. As our firm president, C.D. “Chuck” Michel, explained:

“The Second Amendment doesn’t limit a person’s access to ammunition or the number of rounds in a magazine any more than the First Amendment limits one’s access to typewriter ribbon or predetermines the number of words that can be used.”

Unfortunately, those advancing California’s gun control agenda continue to disregard constitutional boundaries. While we hope this brief convinces the Court to put an end to the state’s unlawful scheme, were main fully prepared to continue this fight until Californians’ rights are restored.
